Zimmer literally owns the AAOS show
Catalyst Client: Zimmer
Show: AAOS (American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons)
Tradeshow Location: San Francisco, CA
Exhibit Size: 110' x 170' island
Description: Custom construction, refurbishment, rental
Challenge: You could say this project began when Zimmer acquired a company called Centerpulse. Zimmer wanted to add an additional 5000-square-foot exhibit for Centerpulse across the aisle from their main trade show exhibit. Zimmer requested a rental solution for the new space that reflected the look and feel of the main exhibit.
Catalyst Exhibits prepared one presentation that met this request and also investigated the possibility of expanding their current space by simply adding rental properties and reconfiguring the space. Then, we took it a step further, taking the initiative to deliver what we thought would be a truly seamless design. The client took one look at this later suggestion and was ready to roll.
It was a large, complex project. We reworked the existing exhibit structure and constructed a new deck structure and MIS presentation area. We also added seating and a theater with projection room and dome.
Over the years, we had developed a strong, trusting relationship with Zimmer and ultimately offered them a wildly creative, high-impact 3D Marketing Solution that went far beyond what they initially thought could be accomplished.
The result: Zimmer literally owned the AAOS. They were, along with Centerpulse, perceived as a unified organization and as the largest and most advanced company at the show--due to a perfectly planned and executed trade show display design.
