Catalyst Speaks

Questions?

Want to talk? Let us call you. We'll respond to your questions in 5 minutes.

The Catalyst Business Model is different from that of traditional "exhibit houses."  We are a different kind of trade show exhibit company.  Our array of client industries1 and client types2 proves this.
each of these logos represent clients who use trade show exhibit rental or purchase exhibit solutions

We service hundreds of clients every year.  Hundreds of show exhibits.   Hundreds of clients.  This is because we deliver solutions for small to mid sized business AND the global enterprise.  In fact, the math works out that we deliver a new, custom exhibit virtually every day.  What does this mean?  Among other things, it means we have the logistics down solid.  It also means that we are in the trenches... on the trade show floor... up to date... and aware.  We are in the business of delivering trade show marketing... not just servicing a few large clients.  Our list of clients is entirely too long for this space.  We are devoted to each of them.  The graphic above represents a very small sampling.

Notes

1 All of us at Catalyst are particularly proud of the "industry mix" that we service.  We believe this that is a testament to our effectiveness as marketers.  It is a common theme amongst prospects who meet us for the first time to inquire as "what industries does Catalyst work within?"   They are invariably asking if we are an automotive shop or a telecom shop or a pharmaceutical shop or a medical instruments shop or a consumer electronics shop... you get the idea.

We know that there exists a small cadre of “Specialty Exhibit Houses” - exhibit firms whose entire raison d’être is to orbit the a particular segment of the marketplace.   We answer quite unabashedly that we are NOT one of them!   We are not part of any club.   In fact, we relish the opportunity to place our clients on a show floor amongst our competition. Ducks in a barrel.  We are, after all, about IMPACT.   While we happen to be marketers with a wealth of experience in the technical and scientific milieu, the marketing comes first.  Always.  That is why our clients hire us.

Catalyst Exhibits is populated by many individuals who are not “exhibit people” at all, but marketing professionals.  We know that your exhibit program is about more than the crates and cabinets.

2 It is no secret that in the exhibit game virtually all of the players are chasing the same few targets: the big exhibitors... the whales.  Big programs.  Big builds.  Big storage.  Big money.  Now, truth be told, not every company has the chops to play at that level... but you can bet where they aspire to be.  The whole industry is chasing the largest spenders.  They have to because of the way business is typically done.  Now consider that there are only a certain number of clients (and prospects) who fit this bill.  Those companies who have a large client (or clients) necessarily guard them ferociously for obvious reasons: when the big client goes, all profits go too.

We believe that this is a big part of the problem with exhibit marketing today.  Namely: it isn't about marketing at all.  It is about big builds and the mark-ups on "big logistics." This is really quite ridiculous.

The truth is that there are thousands of companies out there who a) market at trade shows, b) don't have bazillions of dollars allocated for these efforts and c) need high quality, effective and compelling trade show marketing tools.  What happens to them?  Traditionally, they get neglected.  Their programs suffer.  It is easy to see why.

One of the most common questions we get in "requests for information" is something like: "Where would a company our size fit within your client mix?"  (No one wants to be the smallest fish.)   Our business model is different.  We have hundreds of clients.  Some use us only periodically for small exhibit needs.  Some manage their entire programs through us.  Some exhibit in the smallest possible spaces and others require enormous stands.  Some have internal trade show departments.  Some mere have a receptionist who has been tasked with finding a solution for a problem.  All are welcome.  All get the same team approach to service.  All go through the same design process, every time (The Design Process and Why it Matters).  We are built to service all of them.

Even if you have a bazillion dollars allocated, it doesn't mean that you want to waste it.
