A new identity spurred a need to change the exhibition face of Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. Following a visual separation from Covidien, Mallinckrodt, a provider of specialty pharmaceutical products and diagnostic imaging agents, went full circle and redesigned their identity. Launching a new logo, website, and all collateral, the necessity for a new exhibiting program was evident to stay aligned with the company’s new brand. Mallinckrodt wanted to connect with purchasing groups, hospitals, doctors, and patients. The aesthetic needed to convey that Mallinckrodt is at the forefront of the industry. “Reveal and relieve disease” is the sole mission and the design needed to convey this to anyone who experienced the product offering through the exhibit.

One Shape – Many Sizes

A robust exhibit program was developed that spanned sizes from 50’x 50’ to 20’ x 20’.  Mallinckrodt requested a design that could in essence be re-purposed as necessary. A hexagonal shape was developed through research of the company’s new identity; this became the backbone of reconfiguration, space, and graphic design for the exhibit. A resizable wall was engineered that could fit any size space as well as support identity, graphics, and digital presence. Accurate and purposeful lighting conveyed an invitational and business conducive environment. Modular raised flooring covered in wood supported customization and worked hand-in-hand with the desired unobtrusive feeling. Custom display solutions for product, from private capsules to open lit platforms, were developed to suit every aspect of each division’s selling style.
